Borra 1 Questions

"Come on Mako! You can do better then that!" Bolin shouted, encouraging his brother.
"Shut up Bolin! I don't need your annoying voice distracting me!"
I laughed as Bolin pulled a face. I was sat on the steps at the Air temple.
Mako, Bolin and Asami had moved in and we were training since it was a nice day.
"You are just making up excuses because you can't hit me!" Bolin stood arms crossed and he smirked at his brother.
"Oh yeah?" Mako threw a couple of flare punches at Bolin and then a whip of fire but Bolin dodged them easily and brought up some earth to block the fire whip. When the earth came down, Bolin was doing a little dance. He had some good dance moves I had to admitt.
Something was scaring me a lot lately. Since the kiss between me and Mako and Bolin seeing, we've made up as a group. But I can't shake the guilt from crushing Bolin. I kicked myself so much for not seeing it. I wanted to make  it up to him and what scared me was how much I wanted to.
"Hey Korra! Check this out!" Bolin called and as I looked up from my thoughts my eyes scanned his bare chest before I met his eyes and I felt something tug inside. His smile made me smile.
Bolin brought up a lot of earth and he made the earth flow, almost like water around the air and around his body. Of course with earth being such a solid element it wasn't swift and graceful but it was enough to be impressed.
"Wow Bolin! How did you learn that?"
"Copying your waterbending of course. Did I do okay with the movement?"
"It looks great. Great as you are going to get it anyway." I said standing up and walking over to him.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, earth is such a solid element; strong and powerful. Earth is not easy to move which is why most of our earthbending movements are very strong and simple." I got into a stance and demenstrated with the earth, using simple movements to move the earth.
"Yeah I know that, obviously. But why can I not improve it?" His hands were on his hips, pulling a Mako looked and I grinned.
"Like I said, earth is a solid. Its like trying make a boulder move swiftly like a river. With enough effort you can do it, but its not as gentle and flowing like water."
I brought up some water from the ocean and copied Bolin's move. He did it along side me and could see what I meant.
"Oh yeah! I see. It doesn't flow as easily as water, or as quickly."
We stopped bending and in the sun I could see the sweat shining on his skin.
"You've worked hard Bolin, have a break. I'll battle Mako for a while."
"Okay then, remember to only use earth! That is his one main problem."
"Hey its not my main problem!" Mako shouted, rubbing a towel on his forehead and his back neck to collect the sweat.
"Oh and you are perfectly fine with water?" I teased and as I spoke, I waterbended the sweat of him and made it twirl around his body.
"Yeah I can evaporate water. Can't do the same thing with earth." He tried to 'shoo' the water away until I made it freeze into a little icicle on his back and he shot up into the posture of a statue.
"Gaaaaah! Korra that's cold! Stop it!" We both laughed at Mako as he tried to firebend it off his back but he couldn't reach.
"Have some fun Mako. You don't need to be serious all the time." I said, trying to control my laughter.
"Says you!" He moaned as I bended the ice of him.
In a grudge he walked off, shouting over his shoulder "You two are so annoying! Thats enough practise for today."
Sighing in frustration, I was getting really sick of Mako's attitude.
"Korra?"
I turned to see Bolin sitting on the steps with Pabu on his shoulders, grinning.
"Wanna go swimming?" He pointed to the ocean and Pabu ran up his arm and pointed too.
"Yeah okay. Lets some fun."
"Something which Mako knows nothing about." Bolin replied and I realised that was true.

We earthbended down the side of the cliff to the very small beach at the side of the island, there was literally enough room for four people.
We stripped to our bathing suits; Bolin in his shorts but no top and I had a blue and white swimsuit.
Bolin decided to run and jump into the water, swimming out a bit before calling me to get in.
I ran towards the water but then bended it to launch me higher into the air and do a cannonball into the water.
Bolin's face fell as he realised what the cannon ball would do and tried to swim away but it was too late. I entered the water and a huge wave of water came crashing down on Bolin. Regaining to the surface I was confronted with Bolin having a sea shell caught in his mouth and seeweed on his head.
Bursting out in laughter, I couldn't help it as he spat out the sea shell and removed the sea weeds off his head in disgust.
"Oh yeah you can laugh you don't have to walk around with the taste of sea shell in your mouth!"
I laughed even harder and nearly choked when he pushed some water at me.
"Come on Avatar! Show me your mad water skills!"
"Gladly!" Moving the water around him, I made a water whip and dragged him under. I took a breath and followed him down. I saw him trying to get out and I released him. I shot us both back up to the surface.
"When did you learn that?" Bolin said he got his breath back.
"Learning with a master waterbender has its advantages." I said.
"Thats cool. I'm guessing its Katara?"
"Yep. She use to tell me the stories of how she learnt her moves too."
"Really? Would you mind telling me sometime?"
"Sure." Then an idea popped into my head.
"Hey Bolin?"
"Yeah?"
"Look I still feel bad... about before. I-I didn't know you were watching and I should have seen that you liked me in that way and I just feel so bad for what happened."
"Korra, it's okay really. Come on we better be getting back before Tenzin thinks you've been kidnapped."
We swam back to shore and as we got out I waterbended us dry but I wasn't going to drop this.
"No Bolin it isn't okay. I feel so guilty. I have to make it up to you somehow."
"Now there's an offer I cannot refuse!" He laughed as he put his shirt back on and Pabu jumped on his shoulders where he belonged.
"So thats a yes?"
"Definately." A flush of red crossed his cheeks as a thought appeared to have crossed his mind.
"You know, I was in town a couple days ago and I saw a poster of a party thats going to be on tomorrow night in the city centre. I've been gathering up the courage to ask you to it but then I didn't know if it was the right thing to do... You know since what happened."
"Hang on so its okay for you to be embarressed by what happened and not me?" I joked, pointing my finger between me and him.
"Ha, well you can't help who you like Korra. I know that. But anyway, what I really wanted to ask you was..." He sighed and then stood up, preparing to ask me.
"Korra... will you go to the festival with me?"
I felt warm at the question even though we had just been in the cold ocean. I smiled genually. "I would love to Bolin."

The next night came round and I was getting ready in my room.
Bolin had mentioned the festival to Asami and she (somehow) convinced Mako to tag along. Pema had overheard Asami telling Mako and once she told the kids about the festival, Tenzin couldn't object to 3 excited children begging to go.
Finally managing to put the blue crystal earring in, I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn't believe how different I looked.
The light and dark blue skirt Pema had bought went down to my feet but it had two slits; one on each side so my legs could be seen when I walked. The top I was wearing showed my stomach, it was strapless and its long sleeves covered my arms.
My hair was loose with a cresent moon clip in the side.
A knock on the door made me jump and it was Tenzin who came in.
"I hope I didn't interupt you getting ready." He said and then smiled when he saw me. "Wow, you look beautiful Korra."
I blushed at the complement. "Oh come on Tenzin you don't need to be nice."
"No I mean it, you look great." Pema came in to, hearing his husband's voice.
"How is everything going in here?"
"Fine, I'm ready to go."
Walking out to the Sky Bison, I noticed Bolin wasn't here, or Asami or Mako. I then caught myself realising Bolin was the first person I thought about.
"Where is everyone?" I asked Tenzin as he helped his wife get on the Bison.
"They were ready earlier then us so they are at the festival waiting."
Nodding my head, I climbed on and we were soon flying over to Republic City.

The city was filled with lanterns and fireworks were being set off. People in costumes were dancing and doing tricks. Music was playing with everyone dancing and laughing. It was amazing how different the city looked.
"This festival is to celebrate my father defeating FireLord Ozi."
I stared at him in shock. "Really?"
"Yes. Its the anniversary of the end of the war."
Oh Spirits! It is?!
Tenzin must of saw my embarressed face, he smiled and placed a hand on my shoulder.
"It's okay Korra. You didn't know."
"But I'm the Avatar! Shouldn't I at least know when Avatar Aang defeated Ozi? Katara and no one back home told me anything about this."
"You were busy training, of course no one thought about telling you the stories or dates. I know my mother told you a few when teaching you."
"Yeah but I never had the time to learn anything about your father."
"I will tell you the stories he told me one day okay?"
I smiled and thank him.
"Go on Korra, see if you can find Bolin." Pema said pushing me towards a open bar.



"You know something don't you Pema?"
My wife smiled the same smile I fell in love with. Full of knowledge and love and hope.
"Today is the day your great father defeated a great evil... It is also the day great love was made."
